Whey Protiens?

Hi

does anyone know when i shud drink the Whey Protiens (24g Protiens)
i workout after school from 3-4:30

should i drink it before i workout or after i workout

both if you are trying to gain weight.
but if you can only drink 1 do this after your work out.
eat like a power bar before you work out then once you are done the work out drink the shake, your body does need something in your system for you work out but you dont want to be full.

you workout 3-4:30... My answer... 4:31.
now, depending on what type of workout you are doing (?), you may want to avoid the pre-workout shape. Unless it is only a weightliftin session. In which case I have to ask why it is 1:30 long.

New reserach is showing the pre workout shake may just be equally if not more anabolic than the pwo shake. I say why not if you can afford it do both?

This is true. However, the poster asked regarding an after school workout. This may be a sport. If you are playing a sport, then I would advise against it. Maybe a well diluted carbohydrate drink prior, but nothing to heavy.
If it is weightlifting we are discussing, then by all means. I believe Berardi has a few articles on the science of nutrient timing. I prefer not to have anything prior to my workout, I would rather have a well diluted P+C shake DURING my workout to sip on, which has been shown to minimize cortisol production. Just a preference though.
However, like I said, if its weightlifting, then I would cut the duration of the workout down.
