Thanks gangster. Actual it's the males that taught me everything I know about weight training, so you are very important. Did you know that 80% of all shopping is done by females, so maybe that explains the female catorgory. Also, most protein supplements are designed for men in mind which opens up a new catorgory for females.
Anyways, hopefully some ladies will chime in and give us some suggestions. Thanks Dendy |

Thanks |

I am partial to Zelda but why are we naming protein bars? Chastity, Faith or Hope may work too. I am so unsophisticated. When did protein bars acquire gender? Now I gotta start naming my lunch.-------------- Sometimes life is like herding cats. Charlie | |

Charlie that is really funny. Actual it's branding, so we
can identify each catagory. I thought it be fun to open up the subject like a focus group. The bar would be low in calories, low in fat and soy based. 40-30-30. I would still like to get names that females could identify this type of bar. So that's the gender thing. Not a dis on our male counter-part just another avenue to encourage healthy nutrition in the market. |

we understand dendy, males aren't important. :)
I can't come up with a non corny name, that is inspiring, and female driven unfortunately. good luck though. |

How about "Indulgence" -------------- Bettia.... You will only be remembered for the things that you finish, not the things that you start! ravenbeauty@freetrainers.com |

Assuming that you are looking at names from the "catchy, I'll try this" angle....I'll say that I have never been overly concerned with the names on the protein bars.
What would catch my attention and peak my interest, is one that would be packaged in a fashion contusive to my needs and wants as a woman. Something that I can eat during my work day that's PC...maybe sporting the universal symbol for women and a simple stated "nutrition for today's woman" with no barbells and veined out men on the wrapper. Of course, this is also assuming that your target consumers are women who are trying to get or keep themselves healthy on a feminine level, and, that the bars will be seen somewhere instead of advertised by list. Anyway, all assumptions aside, this doesn't help you very much with the name game does it... Hmmm...how about NUTRI-FEM or SCULPT HER...? Well, if all else fails you can just call them "BARBIE-BARS" and call it a day, right? Julienne -------------- A morning without coffee is like something without something else. |

That's good. The bar is based on low calorie, low fat and high protein. We have done some marketing research and realized mosts women are on a diet, therefore calories really matters. So ladies perhaps with this forcus group, could you please share what it is your goals are related to your health and fitness needs and then think of a name that would express that in a functional food bar?
Thanks Dendy |

Umm... how about - "Tastes good, like real chocolate, not chalk" That is a catchy name..... Her Bar "Secret" protein bars - strong enough for a man but formulated for a woman..... "Goddess Fuel" Goddess bar Temple food Body Beautiful bar ummmmmmmmm, maybe just call it 'chocolate' that should sell ;) -------------- Food is neither friend nor foe, just fuel. You pick the quality of the fuel. |
