I woke up this morning weighing 3 Lbs more than usual. Can this be something I ate -- How can this happen overnight? It is very depressing, especially for someone short like me.

Don't worry about it!!! My weight fluctuates alot, especially overnight. Could be for any number of reasons, but likely you're just retaining water. You should never concern yourself about a quick shift in wieght. I know it can be depressing...I finally stopped weighing myself everyday. Had to put my scale in the basement for 2 months to break the habit:)
-------------- Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

that happened to me too recently(except i'm damn happy about it), so i guess weight can change like that once in a while. now if it was 3 lbs every night, in either direction, that'd be kinda wierd.
btw couldn't it be mostly muscle weight, which is good? i mean...i'm gaining weight, i sure as hell don't look fat :P
(erm i'm a guy, i probably don't understand...)

You can take 3lbs from me if you want.

...when I eat salty foods I tend to weigh more the next day, perhaps you ate something high in sodium the day before? I had a salty burger yesterday (but did not 'overeat') and was 3lbs heavier today.
