I'm a middle aged male carrying some extra pounds. I'm a building contractor so I get my share of lifting, I don't feel I need any muscle gain. I have a Schwinn Airdyne that I purchased some twenty years ago that now needs my particapation. Here's what I'm doing now. I started a month or so back riding it for five minutes before I was gassed. I'm now up to twenty five minutes every other day maintaining rpm's from upper fifties to mid sixties. I plan on going thirty minutes at this pace at least 3 times a week. I currently weigh 291, I was up to 300 when I started so I'm getting something and I do feel better already. I don't really know where my goal is but I don't want to get into a program that I'm not going to stay with. I hope posting here gives me some incentive and possible find others doing something similar.
