I am a stay at home mom of four. I have one kid all day (a year old). I now weigh close to 200. My goal is to lose 60 pounds. I have no exercise equipment, and not a whole lot of time. Any suggestions?

Hi there! Your post sounds familiar. I am a stay at home mom of 5. I have 10 month old twins and a 3 year old son all day. It is very hard to find time to exercise and when i do sleal a few minutes, I'm too tired or not motivated. I just joined here for ideas cuz I'm so sick and tired of being fat. :(

Hi ladies, It is very tough when you have little ones that demand your attention 24/7. However, the best thing you could do for your kids and yourselfs is to try and fit in some "you time" and get a bit of exercise. When my kids were small, the only thing that worked for me was joining a fitness class once or twice a week. It meant relying on my hubby or getting a babysitter, but it was my time and I went as often as humanly possible(I know it's still tough when the kids get sick or there are other activities--but do your best to stick with it) Find something you know you'll enjoy. Along with this, try putting activity into your day to day life...walking with the kids, playing outside etc.

The other part that you do have control of is diet. Really focus on getting your diet in order. Get rid of the junk, it isn't good for you or your kids, and focus on eating healthy. Stock up on fruit veggies and lean protien. Don't "diet" chances are you'd cut back too much and just end up falling off the wagon. Don't worry about dieting or loosing wt... just yet. Focus on setting realistic exercise goals and eating healthy--there is a great food list called grocery list for healthy living thumbtacked at the top of the nutrition forum--eat what's on this list and you can't go wrong. In a few weeks you'll be amazed at how good you feel and have a great start to a healthier lifestyle.

The key is to make realistic goals and get started.

Good Luck Ladies!
