Lets remember what today is. Back in 1941, we lost a lot of men in Pearl Harbor. My grandfather was almost one, he lost a lot of friends there.

First time on today...I am very pleased to see this post. Hell, half of us have forgotten 9/11! It is nice to see someone that does remember and honor our fallen heroes, both in 1941 and 2001. Both were the direct result low down, low life deeds.

I've been getting help with my navigation skills from my 87 year old uncle. He's left the navy after WW2 as a Lt.Commander as XO of a destroyer. On December 4th 1941 he was ordered back stateside from Pearl Harbor. He was on the Arizona up till that day. He was an enlisted man at the time and was accepted in OCS and sent back for training. You can feel his sadness at the thought of what happened to his shipmates. I'm honored to know him much less be his friend, nephew and student. Good post Scott.

Thanks guys! What is even more distrubing is the fact that 9 out of 10 people have no idea what 12-7-1941 was.
