I am new to this fitness thing and i will start at the gym the first week in January. I figured i would start a good diet now. i really dont know exactly the things i should be eating or not eating. The only thing i know enough not to eat is fast foods which i havent eaten in 8 months.
I would like to give some information about me so maybe it will give someone an idea of how i should change my diet. I am a 6ft,225 pound 28 year old male. I live on 2 things,my girlfriend is italian and i am spanish. So imagine the kinds of food i eat all day.
I would greatly appreciate the help.

Check out the sticky post Body Builders grocery list in the diet and nutrition forum and just eat what's on there. It doesn't matter what your heritage is, you can still eat healthy. I love Thai food but everything I make is super clean and tastes better than the greasy salty stuff you get in restaurants. :)
