Though I have been gone for awhile, I'd like to welcome you to FT, it is a wonderful place to start your goals! Patience will be your best friend, losing 1-2 pounds a week is the healthiest and is the safest, just check out the exercise and nutrition programs here at FT and keep coming, learning and contributing to others success by being supportive!

If you are breast feeding this is the perfect time to lose the weight. 5-6 healthy snacks through the day, which can just soo happen to be when you feed the baby. You need to have a good diet anyway, so you might as well take advantage of it. Same advice goes if not breast feeding, but your intake will be alittle smaller in quantity size rather than frequency of meals. Alittle cardio that gets your heart in the target fat burning range would help as well. Congrads on your new baby and welcome to ft.

Hi! I too am trying to loose the baby fat (my son will be 2 months on Monday) The hardest thing for me right now is trying to find time to workout, oh and trying not to eat any of the junkfood that my husband likes to keep around :)
Anyway... good luck on meeting your goals... and know that you aren't alone!

Hey there! I just had my 2nd last Feb and my advice- don't get discouraged and stick with it! I remember after my son was born having good days where I felt great, looked great- and then ones where I felt like an elephant and nothing was working! Cardio and weights were a great combo as you get to see the muscles working and building (which is a great motivator!). Just remember- keep going- if you slip and have the junk (b/c let me tell you the cravings don't seem to stop for awhile!) just get back on track. The other big thing I found was portion control! I started using a smaller plate for dinner (as I'm a hard core food lover and like a full plate!) and had smaller meals more often. Incidentally, I was back to my pre-baby weight before I became pregnant with my daughter so it must have worked! I'm working along with you- I have 10 more lbs to loose after baby #2 but lots more toning still! Those darn baby bellies! :)
