My name is Frank and I am here to change my lifestyle. I think I am ready this time. I have really enjoyed reading these posts for motivation. Thanks for all you do.

Does anyone have suggestions or opinions on when is the best time to work out? Mornings seem optimal however I go to work so early (4am) that getting up an hour earlier to train seems futile. In the evenings all I want to think about is relaxing. Could I maybe wake up 15min to 1/2 hour earlier and do 15-30 min of cardio? Should cardio be at least 30min to really be effective? Then maybe I could weight train in the evanings after work. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Frank

Hello Frank! Welcome to FT! There is much, much controversy on this subject, I would suggest going to the bottom of the page where the fitBuddy search is and put in that question and read the various responses. I would suggest making sure to get something into that body if you are doing cardio immediately after getting up in the morning, your body will need the energy.

Good luck with your goals and hope to see more of you here at FT!
