I injured myself snowboarding, go me...collar bone to be specific, so i can't really do anything involving arms. Damn i feel small already, missed 3 upper body workouts so far. Well, not really missed, starting today i'm doing abs and cardio.
I think it'll take about a week to recover - so i thought maybe i should do serious cardio and do some cutting until then? Is that a good idea or no? I know nothing about cutting though ><

1 week is nothing...you'll lose absolutely nothing in just 1 week....so no worries....if it was longer ...say 4-6 weeks...then you would have needed to do something....just make sure to eat well....get at least 1.5g per lb of protein...also you'll probably need to slightly boost your caloric intake to allow your body to recover....try to eat only complex carbs during this time....also fish oil is great...6-10 g per day divided into 2 dosages...morning/night...1 week is no sweat tho...take it easy....

What kind of hard tissue injury only takes a week to heal?
Menace gave you some excellent advice. Boosting your intake is usually a good idea with an injury. I really wouldn't have a DL cut.

I'm pretty sure it's a very bad bruise. Worse case it's a very minor fracture. So i'm hoping it'll be ok in a week or so. But who knows...it'll be a week tomorrow so i'm actually estimating about 2 weeks to heal total.
Alright so never mind the cutting. But could i still do cardio for an hour or so on workout days while i can't lift?

Is there anything preventing you?

No. I guess i was asking if there's any reason it might not be beneficial. I mean i can't think of any reason, but the hell do i know :P

I am not sure it's a good idea....some light cardio might be ok...but other than that I would think you'd be putting too much stress on the body while it's trying to recover...just take time off and do something productive with the time....if anything you can use the time to think about what you'll do once you get back and what kind of things you can do or not do to avoid future accidents...(balance?agility? flexibility? switch training to incorporate these aspects?)...

did you get it checked out? to make sure there isn't a fracture? You said you are "pretty sure it's a very bad bruise. Worse case it's a very minor fracture. " Different injuries take different times to heal.

stress fractures take 4-6 weeks to heal properly...so that's a good point...bruises can last a while also....definitely get it checked out...esp if u believe there's a decent chance it's a minor fracture...definitely go get an xray....

Ok i'm fine now, starting to work out again tomorrow, will be 4 weeks. Damn that was a crappy 4 weeks. Anyway, about creatine...i used to take it on workout days, but could i be lacking it now that i haven't taken it for 4 weeks? Should i fill up on it slightly or just keep taking it like before?
