My background: I'll start off by saying that I'm somewhat of a skinny guy. I've never been that big and the best shape I've been in was in cross country in high school. I'm 19 and am looking to bulk up a little, and at least have an athletic body. I want to look good and lean up while filling out my frame.

Anticipated Program (see below):
FT 3-day Program
Monday: chest - shoulders - triceps
Wednesday: back - biceps - forearms
Friday: legs - calves
I will be running Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for some light cardio - maybe 20 minutes on those days.

My questions: Currently I will be starting the FT Progressive gains program this monday and already have a tub of Optimum Nutrition whey protien. I used this over the previous summer to somewhat good effect, but after 3 or 4 months of lifting every day, the gains were minimal. I'm looking for something to help boost me, and I'm wondering if creatine is the answer.

I'm wondering if creatine would be a benefit to a guy like me that really has trouble gaining muscle, not necessarily to bulk up, just to get fit and look a little better.

If so, what type should I get and on what type of program should I take it?

If not, what can I do to maximize the little amount of gain I receive from lifting?

Thank you very much for your time, I realize this is quite a lengthy post.

Creatine is not going to do what you want. As I say in the above post, eat right and work hard. I have the same problem as you and I am 35 now. Age is finally helping. Eat right and work hard. There is a resource on this site (it may be under nutrition) that will tell you how many calories, prtein quantity, carbohydrate quantity, and fat quantity per day to gain.

I am trying to focus on my diet right now. It is very hard and takes alot of effort. I imagine after one gets accustom to it, it gets easier. You may want to consider squats and dead lifts and other similar type exercises; I believe that these are supposed to affect your testosterone in a positive way. Do some searches with the search buddy. This question has been asked before. If you're not willingto put a little effort into searching this site, there is no way that you be able to muster the effort to gain weight.
