For strictly losing weight, what should be ingested pre and/or post workout. This whole thing kinda confuses me. I'm sure it has been covered here many times before though.
My wife would like to lose around 100 lbs. I've tried to get her to sign up here but she won't do it. She just bought an eliptical, and walks a couple miles outdoors every other day. She really has done well cutting down her calories after I finally convinced her that the Atkins diet isn't all it's cracked up to be. She now realizes that carbs are vital for energy.
However that's about where my overwhelming knowledge ends.
Should she avoid simple carbs altogether. If so, when does she need the complex carbs, pre or post workout?
