Could GAKIC be the next breakthrough in sport supplementation?
What is GAKIC anyway?

Not since Creatine exploded onto the market has there been so much hype about a supplement. GAKIC that has been introduced in SA by Muscle Science.

GAKIC stands for
glycine-arginine-alpha-ketoisocaproate

Let's break this up for you:

Alpha-ketoisocaproate (KIC):

* Alpha-ketoisocaproate (KIC) is a keto acid of leucine (branched chain amino acid). Branched-chain keto acids (BCKAs) are very similar to branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs), the only difference being the presence of a keto group instead of an amino group. Thus, BCKAs can be viewed as ammonia-free sources of BCAAs.
* KIC is anti-catabolic (prevents tissue breakdown). Since any strenuous activity is catabolic, scientists argue that there is reason to believe that KIC will prove to be of value to bodybuilders, powerlifters and aerobic athletes.
* Furthermore, BCKAs are essential for energy production in muscle and for the detoxification (removal) of ammonia. During intense exercise of high intensity, such as resistance exercise, ammonia is produced in large quantities and it has been suggested to play a role in fatigue.
* Finally, KIC stimulates insulin secretion - thereby facilitating nutrient transport and uptake by muscle tissue..

Glycine:

* Glycine is a non-essential amino acid. It has been shown to increase growth hormone secretion.
* Further, glycine plays a role as an excitatory neurotransmitter.
* Finally, glycine used with arginine has been shown to increase endogenous (SEL) creatine levels by increasing creatine synthesis.

Arginine:

* An essential amino acid that has been found to increase growth hormone levels. Its most noticeable effect is its ability to enhance nitric oxide production. Nitric Oxide is responsible for blood vessel dilation, resulting in increased blood flow to muscles, meaning quicker delivery of nutrients and oxygen to working muscles. This equates to explosive muscular pumps!

And so the bottom line about Nitro GAKIC is this:

1. Nitro GAKIC supplementation can significantly increase the total strength level during training by an average of up to 10.5%.
2. Nitro GAKIC supplementation can increase fatigue resistance by 28%.* and finally,
3. Nitro GAKIC supplementation can increase overall muscle performance and reduce muscle fatigue.

Nitro GAKIC is a revolutionary pre-workout supplement that can help power and strength and retard fatigue, redefining your performance so you can work harder and longer.

So what do you guys think??

Well, being from Muscletech should be a clue. These guys are notorious at overhyping crap supplements. They spend tons of money on advertising, and a jacked up price.

I got a free sample, and had a great workout that day. But one workout hardly makes a supplement. Could have been from any reason.

Besides, the ingredients are hardly breakthrough. Maybe the synergistic mixture. But nothing groundbreaking.

Yea....i am really skeptical of anything i read about from flex/muscle and fitness...where bodybuilders push stupid supplements....yea...i am sure ronnie coleman got the way he is taking gakic....(and not those pages and pages of steroids he take(s/n)...)...and the prices are a joke....i'd consider trying it for like 5-10$....beyond that...they can kiss my...:)...overpriced version of some amino acids.....i think muscletech thrives on ignorance ...hyping up its products with some random bs...and then being able to sell those products at high prices....well done...ahh the good old days when i thought i couldn't survive without their precious cell-tech..:/
