I literally just joined a gym - the first big step - but my question is .. is there anyone out there with severe hypothyroid disease and if so .. were you able to achieve your desired weight? This hypothyroidism has literally made me jump 6 sizes in one year .. and its not like I eat alot but my metabolism is shot. Any ideas? ANY AT ALL?

I am really sorry about your hypothyroidism. I have a friend who is battling the same thing. She has gained quite a bit of weight also. I think working out and watching what you eat will help you out lots. My friend has given up with battling weight issues. I don't think we should ever give up trying to take care of ourselves. You just happen to have an issue that you will have to fine tune your program to. Once you get on track with diet and exercise, if you don't see results call your doctor. I bet you will see results. Good luck.
