hi, i weigh about 210 pounds. but im fairly fit. im 6'3 and pretty big into weight lifting. i wanted to become a bit more defined and come down to about 180-190. my daily nutrition planer says i should be taking in about 2700 calorie sa day. i ate six times today and only was able to bring in about 1450 calories. am i not eating enough to lose weight? i mean i ate like every two to three hours. should i be eating full meals every two to three hours instead of snakes with meals?

hansonian, welcome to FT!
Your moving in the right direction with the eating every 2-3 hours. 5-6 Smaller meals a day helps speed up your metabolism. Having a good exercise routine is great also, but in order to get where you want to go you are right, you have to have a solid diet.

This site has boatloads of info available to you on both. There's a thread in the specific diet and nutrition forum called "diet thread" that in very insightful, read thru it carefully. You have a very attainable goal. The quickest way to get an answer to your question is to doa search for it at the bottom of the page. Most have been answered before in great detail. If you still need help, clarification or just looking for support just post your question or whatever in the right forum on the baords.
