I have a very physical job and have gained muscle mass in places I didn't even know I had muscles. This is all great but, my body is totally misshapen due to the neglect in places I need to catch up. I have a moderate scoliosis and my muscles are knotting where they need more work or where they are over compensating for weaker ones. I've been through the soreness and that is not it. I am getting golf ball size knots in my neck, sholders, and back. I've done epson saltz, hot baths, vibrating pads, and deep heating rub. The doctor keeps giving me pills to relax the muscles. They don't work and I'm sick of taking them. Can anyone help? :(

Firm, I gotta say I after reading your profile I wonder why you call yourself a loser, the longer you do this the more you will believe it. First thing you should do is restart your membership with your screenname "firm_winner". After that go to the specific diet and nutrition forum and browse thru some of the threads there. Take your time. What you need to do first and foremost is believe in yourself. With that accomplished you WILL be able to accomplish anything you set your sights on. All the information you need to make things happen for you is here. You have come across a wealth of information and it's all free to you, not only that, but you have a support group that never goes away. I, like nobody else here gets paid for what they may contribute to your well-being. It's one of those few places left out there that is pure. I look to it as a sort of sanctuary. It helps me on many levels.
YOU HAVE come to the right, just wait and see.
Welcome to FT my fellow winner!

Thanks Mojo for the response but, I'm not the negative thinker here. I want to be firm and lose weight. So a firm loser was intended as a good thing. As for my life and person, I am a winner. I just need a little help crossing the finish line with this area of trouble. However, perhaps you are right. It may send a bad message to those who see it the way you did. I'll go change it. Now, any suggestions about these knots in my neck?
