Hi, fill out your profile. Then go to exercise program and fill out the questions there - it will design a program based on your needs.

Your diet will play a huge role in getting results - look in the nutrition forum for the diet thread and the grocery list for healthy eating.

HELLO I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT FOR A LONG TIME BUT LIKE ALMOST EVERY WOMEN I DO CARDIO FOR ABOUT 1 HOUR I DOW WEIGHT BUT NOT STEADY LIKE I WOULD DO CARDIO I MET ONE OF THE TRAINERS AT THE GYM AND I AM NOT THIN I WEIGH 160 5"3 TALL AND I HAVE THICK UPPER LEGS AND THIGHS I WANT TO GET SMALLER BUT LIKE AGAIN OTHER WOMEN I WAS TOLD NOT TO DO CERTAIN CARDIOS OR WEIGHTS BECAUSE I WILL BUILD MUSCLE ????I DONT KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE ANYMORE I WANT TO GET TONED NOT BIGGER LEGS WHERE DO I START I NEED SOMEONE TO GIVE ME AWEEKLE PROGRAM ON WEIGHT TRAINING AND I WILL FOLLOW IT MY LOWER BODY IS LIKE JENNIFER LOPEZ BIG MUSCULAR LEGS AND BUM CAN U HELP ME ??/I NEED SOME TRUE ADVICE I WANT TO LOSE 30LBS BY APRIL-MAY ??????

Staight and to the point. Do as asimmer said. Don't worry about getting bigger. Building muscle takes a long time. As asimmer mentioned, your diet will play a HUGE roll. The workout is secondary in weight loss. Good luck and welcome to FT!!!

Women have this fear of building huge muscle due to misconception. It takes testosterone first off to build muscle, which women have very little of. And tons of food. If you know any guy who works out, they are lifting heavy, eating like a pig, and still complaining they cannot gain muscle. If it were that easy, they would all be giants. You need to challenge the muscle, women will get that tight toned body they desire, not large muscles.

Excellent advice and points from everyone! As far as loosing 30 from April-May, the most effective wt loss is 2-3(max) lbs/week. So if you're talking Feb/March/April/May, that would be aprox 12-15 weeks, so ya, 30lbs is do-able. It'll take hard work and dedication though.

Also, please don't use all caps when your typing your messages, it is very hard to read and it feels like your yelling:(
