My question is...I have calulated my caloric intake and I don't agree with the caalorie amt. I should have for the day. If I am 5' 5" and I weigh 186, is it ok to start with 1800 calories?? The amt shown is over 2000 calories a day. OUCH!! Seems a little high
Welcome to the site Liz. I found it a little high but possibly a little better way is to try and calculate the intake that you have been taking in (assuming your weight has been static for awhile). If weight loss is your goal, compare that the the nutrition calculators number and start downward from there. You're better off starting with a 200-300 caloric deficit so your metabolism won't go in to a quick halt. :)
