Hi everybody:) I'm so glad I found this great site!!! Thank you for putting it together and making it available for free. ...I finally took charge of my life and started working out and eating healthier in May of 2005. I've been going to the gym 3 times a week. I do cardio and weigths. So far I have lost 40lbs and I'm happy about that:big_smile: but I still need to lose about 40lbs. I can feel that I've developed some great muscle, but it's still covered up by fat:( Yesterday I read about the intensive interval cardio training and tried it out. WOW sure makes a huge difference! I decided to go from 3 days to 5 days a week to start seeing better results. It will be very difficult for me to step it up. Please guys, can someone give me some great motivation??? Thank you

Welcome to FreeTrainers!!! Sounds like you've been doing the right things so far. Motivation comes in soooo many forms that I can't pinpoint what will fire you up to achieve your goals. Reading posts on this site is very motivating. When I read about other people succeeding, I want to, too. I'm also motivated by knowledge. The more I know why I do the things I do, the more I'll stick with it. I'm a science teacher so I'm constantly reading new articles on health and biology anyway.

Best of luck to you. We're all here for you so don't hesitate to ask if you need help. :)

Another thing you can do is in the weight loss thread we have a challenge going on. Your more then welcome to join. Its not really a compitition but more of a way to show others your goals and the steps you made to achive them. LOL sometimes it can motivate someone just by telling others what you have done so not only are you proud of yourself, but others are as well.

There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy and short and one is hard and long. The only satisfaction one can get out of the first is that it was easy, and many people have gone this way. Even the greatest journy begins with a single step, and to take the path less taken gives awsome bragging rights. Moral of this story, The main cause for failure and unhappiness is trading what you want most for what you want at the moment.

Hey Manny. I saw you in one of the othe threads. You're right...the crew in here is great and very helpful. It sounds like you are well on your way. One thing that you said was that you were going to do HIIT 3 to 5 times a week one of the guys told me not to do it more then a couple of times a week. You might want to double check that though as different people say different things.

Best of luck to you!!!:)
