Are you sure the 1008 you are talking about are not just his two missed attempts? There is no mention of it any where else on the net and I feel it would be big news in the lifting community.

I heard it on Sherdog.com
It said he broke hit the 1008 at the Ironman this past week or something to that extent. I tried finding the 1008 attempt and couldn't find it either. I did see his 2 1008 misses...

PowerliftingUK states that he currently holds it at 1008. Apparently he missd a 1031.

does anyone know the weight for his raw bench?? on his site i think the most they show is 713, but last night i seen some informercial that had a guy benching 740....is this correct?
