I've been body building for almost 10 years now and love the dicipline both in the gym and in my diet. But after eating eggs and tuna every day, week after week, well, sometimes the thought of opening another can of tuna makes me sick. Does anybody else get this way, and if so what do you do about it? right now i basically just continue eating and try to hold it down, but its really hard when the thought of eating it makes you sick. I've battled with this for years now and it seems to come in waves. sometimes I can eat and eat, but after a couple of months of serious calories I just can't do it anymore and my diet suffers.

Hi! I am sorry this doesn't answer any of your questions...I wanted to ask YOU a question! :) Since you have been competing...with the strict diets and all..have you found it difficult to maintain positive relationships with people in your life? I guess what I'm tying to say is....does your dieting ever make you very irritable and grouchy...and if so...do you tend to take it out on people you love? My ex-bouyfriend has been in 2 competitions...and plans to do it for awhile..(he has one on August 11 and another about a month after that) He even admits that he treats people he loves like dirt when he diets...his mom, friends, his son, etc. Is it possible for this strain on your body and mind to ruin certain relationships? I have heard so many amateur bodybuilders say that they can't believe their girlfriends are still with them after the dieting....
My next question is...if this was one of the reason we are no longer together....I'm wondering...will it change when he stops dieting? Which means...we would only be together in his off-season! :)
I guess 'seasonal love' is better than 'no love-right?' :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Thanks for your time j! :)

I know what you mean. The only thing I can recommend is to just keep trying variety. I try to cook as much as possible trying new recipes and ingredients whenever I can. It helps to keep me eating right and hopefully it will help you also. Best of luck. -sweeny

Did you say tuna? I can't even think of eating another can. I've been relieing heavy on protein supplements and eating lots of chicken breast. I can be more creative with chicken recipes than with tuna. One thing, if you decide to dump tuna be sure to take Flax see oil to get your omega 3 fatty acids.
