You might find it to be a problem to tone your abs on your chest. :) Sarcasm aside, I assume you're asking how to work your abs so they blend with your chest??? The best thing you can do is work the whole body. Spot workouts work to a point but you're better off working everything.

Looked at your pic and it's back to my original answer. You need to work the whole body and clean up you diet.

zoey, eating too little can have the same effect as eating too much. If you don't consume enough calories to support your bodies needs, then it goes into "survival" mode and stores fat. You only need reduce your caloric intake by 100-200 (correct me if I am wrong) calories per day. Get fat from the good sources. And most important, building lean muscle mass will burn fat for you!!

Please take some time and read the stickys in the forum here as they all have the information you are looking for!!

NIce answer, conan.

Zoey - 6 weeks is not long! Your body will take up to 18 months to normalize and level out in terms of hormones and recovery nutrition-wise and physically, cut your body a break, it just nourished another being for nine months and then went through the trauma of labor and birth.

Eat sensibly and nutritionally and ease into an exercise routine that works your whole body, not just the parts that bother you. The key is to lose fat, which will happen all over, not just in the part you work.

Ok I am 8 weeks post partum....6 weeks is just the beginning...most women are given the go ahead at this time....Are you breastfeeding? (breastfeeding can help burn upwards of 500cals a day....but for some women it isn't until they stop feeding thT the weight comes off. What are you eating?...What sort of things are you doing to keep active?

I gained 80lbs during my pregnancy.....So my goal is to lose it by Nov this year (1 year) I lost 30lbs of fluid the first week...but with the prepregnancy fat I gained I still need to lose close to that much....

My point is that you gain the weight over 9 months...don't expect it to go overnight...

i had a c-sect and your not supposidly meant to lift weights or do strenous workouts til the three month mark your not allowed to do anything for the first 6 weeks except lift your baby. just take it easy on your body getting back into exercises zoey.

Type "diet" or "weight" or "fat" into fitbuddy. the old answers are better than what you'll get here nowadays.
Good luck!
