Just being curious here (again!)..... What do you all eat?!! Are you all trying desperately to follow strict diets or do you eat whatever (and just do more cardio)? Or what about those lucky ones that can eat all they want and still don't gain one tiny bit. Me, I'm just trying to eat as much proteins I can. I'm desperately baaaaad to follow a diet so I don't. I haven't got any weight to loose and I got all the muscles I want so I guess it's not that bad..... Still it bothers me...... I don't eat anything bad but maybe it's just the annoying feeling of not having enough selfcontrol to eat at special hours etc. Anyway, what do YOU eat? and what do YOU think about food, diet, self discipline etc?!!!

By the way, I know it's different for the people who are competing.... It's not the same, but I just wanted to know about all the rest; us "normal-living-days" people.....

Some tuna pasta or something silimar around 11 GYM A sandwich (usually tuna) around 3
Maybe a stir fry around 6:30 with rice
Protien Shake before bed.

I generally follow the same type of diet year round. But the difference is during the "normal maintainace phase" I allow myself red wine, my protein powder will be one with a liitle fat and/or cards (like Ultra Size from Beverly Nutrition. I still keep my protein high but I may change the allow myself cottage cheese and a fiolet once a week (versus chicken, tuna and turkey and fish.) Oh and I also eat a handful of Almonds for a snack. I stay away from SIMPLE SUGAR 100% year around. I have learned to cheat with no sugar foods. I will opt for fat over sugar.

Well to really know what you should eat you need to know some very imporant things because it all is dependant on calories. For one thing, you cannot gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, you must do one or the other. This is because if you consume more calories than you burn you gain weight, if you burn more than you consume you lose weight. So I would recommend to first count your calories, then adjust for what you want. Best of luck -Sweeny

Today is my first day of keeping track of everything. I am a Mt.Dew-a-holic and went to the store last night to find some substitutes. I'll keep you posted as to how it turns out.

i'd love to list what i ate when i was competing, but i don't think that a powerlifter's diet of about 6-7kcals a day will help you for your goals (LOL).
my advice to you, though, is dont forget to have a cheat day for you while you're dieting. it makes the mental part a little easier, and as clean as your body probably is, it wont even pay attention to any non-diet stuff you may put into it.
good luck..............michael
