If you are not in an energy surplus, there is no reason not to.

Maybe mix it with a little Natural peanut butter, something bb1 turned me onto, quite good actually.

Again, read my post. If and only if you are in an energy deficit. If not, then just have your normally scheduled meal. If you need something before bed(it sucks going to bed hungry), have an eggwhite omlette with some salsa on it.

I personally wouldn't eat after 7:30. You should definitley take my advice expecially if your trying to tone up!

You are mis-interpreting what is being said. If your body is energy deficient, time is of no importance. For instance, if you end your workout at 7pm, having a meal with a good protein source and complex carb 1-2 hours later would be necessary. If your NOT energy deficient, having just an eggwhite omelette isn't going to hurt you.

lilbee - I'm not trying to be argument but I'm curious as to what you base your recommendation to not eat after 7:30?

It is better to eat as early as you can, but if you want to have a snack before bed you have a protein shake or something that's really healthy. The reason for that is because, people are less active after 7 PM and are more likely to consume higher fat/higher calorie foods in the evening. This is typically why dietitians suggest that people try not to eat after 7 PM- they are less active and more likely to overeat. You can agree or disagree with me, it's just my opinion.

You cater to the needs of your body. If it's energy deficient, you feed it accordingly, regardless of time. Like I saw bb1 right once and find quite true, there is no magic bewitching hour where carbs are turned to fat.

lilbee - I actually agree with you and Mojo pretty much added what I was going to say if you came up with the conventional answer. :) Most people eat foods that are going to be retained as fat. My only reason for questioning your post was the going to bed hungry which is not a good thing. That's one of the reasons you see so many of us pushing cottage cheese before bedtime but there again it has to fit in your total dietary intake.
