Ok well i have a real clean diet. But I was out at a resterant with my mom and grandmother the other day. I was having broiled chicken breast and steamed broc. I was looking at what they were eating and for some reason this just came to me. I know its in debate but they say that your body can only absorb so much protien per sitting, and the rest is dispelled in your urine. But what about carbs fats and just overall cals. If someone was to have a really big high carb high fat high cal meal, hypotheticly, would that persons body be able to absorb it all, or would some of it go to waste. Now im not even thinking about trying this, i have worked to hard to get where i am right now, but i am currious as to the anwser.
The body seems to be able to "buffer" large quantities of food rather nicely. This is for example how one handles a "refeed" on a CKD diet.
Think Thanksgiving. If all those calories were absorbed, you would gain tons in one sitting. However, at most a bit of water weight is gained, and then quickly lost when going back on good diet.
But, do this consistently(overintake your calories), and you will become a fat ass.
