Well i was in Texas for 4 years doing my undergrad but now am in the friendly country of Canada. I am average as shape and muscles go (but have some flab in unwanted places). I have gone to the gym before but never properly. Now i have a strategy which I devised while on my co-op. I hope to go 6 times a week (i have already done this for a week and am really excited). I have marked 100 gym days on the calendar which is about 3.75 months and broken them down to 10 gym day intervals. My goal is just to aim to reach the next 10 days without cheating (meaning not going or just slacking off at the gym). I do a mixture of cardio and workout. I do my cardio in between body parts cos it really gets me pumped up so I end up doing 15 - 20 minutes of cardio every day. So I hope i can stay as motivated as people usually are when they start off thats why i hope my 10 day strategy works cos working out is mostly mental isnt it?

Welcome to FT! It might be a good idea to cut down your cardio a bit so you eliminate the chance of burning out. Try and do high intensity interval cardio on just 3 days a week and do just weights on the other 3 days. Also make sure you change your weight lifting routine often. Good Luck with your goals!:)
