You will know the fat content buy reading the label. Generally protein drinks are full of protein and not fat. Go to netrition.com and browse thru the protein drinks. Netrition put the labels on the site which is great. You can see what you are buying!!!! As for as the diet read thru all the posts on this question. Generally rice is okay (brown) white bread isn't good go for the whole grain with no sugars. |

Rice and wheat bread are okay as they contain lots of carbs to help your system absorb the additional protein you'll be consuming from the shakes. If you're trying to build mass, you won't help but consume some fat...but this is okay as your body should burn it off during your intense workout.Protein shakes may contain some fat, but not very much. Which one are you planning on trying? |

To tell you the truth I wouldnt have a clue. Im from Australia and it may not be any use looking at that site if they dont have them here. Maybe u could recommend a popular good protein shake which would be in Australia ? Also how much fat is too much in a shake ? Any other info would be much apreaciated. |

As I mentioned before there are few protein powders that have fat that is too high. (except maybe a weight gainer)Most fall into 1.5-4.5 grams fat which is fine. Be more concerned about the overall fat in your diet then in one food item you eat. Some foods are high in fat but should still be incorporated into the diet, like almonds and salmon. |

I agree with ltroisi...most will be around 1.5 - 4.5g range. Personally, I use Nitro-Tech, which has 1.5g. However, you have to watch out for the fat content in your normal meals as you'll only be drinking the shakes no more than probably 3 times per day, depending on your nutrition goals. |

I use Designer protein and their is less than one gram of fat per serving scoop. Each serving contains 17grams of protein. Try using this type of protein. It helps achieve lean gains without adding fat. Try to cut down on bread assumption and if you do eat a lot of bread eat wheat, not white. Or whole grain, which is even better. Rice is very good for diets. It has a small amount of fat and makes you full fast. |

The only protein shakes I know of that are full of fat are weight gainers. Most protein shakes are very low in fat. Anyway, you can always pick out the nutrition values you want because there is a huge wealth of shake variations out there. As to the bread and rice. What kind of diet are you on? |

Protein shakes full of fat?!!! lol you're the first one telling me that. Geez, I would be in big probs here since I'm drinking three daily.......No, the biggest challenge is finding a protein shake that you like...... I've tried plenty and not all of them are extremely delicious....... It's difficult for us to get all the proteins needed with proper food, that's why we drink those things as well.... |

I found on Ebay a protein powder with less than 1 gram of fat. They said that each 2 tablespoons provides only 70 calories, 1 gram of carbs, 0.2 gram of fat and 17 grams of protein. I order one of these on Wednesday and will see if it is a good product. The product is called Ultra Lean Protein Powder. With so little fat, I will add it to my shakes.
