I am interested in beginning to train for fitness competitions and I have found a lot of good information on how to work out and what to eat to build muscle tone but I am wondering if I should jump right into that or attempt to lose all excess fat first by sticking with more cardio and fewer calories? I am 5'9 around 150 pounds. I work out regularly and am in decent shape but I'm not sure where to begin for this type of training. Help!
