I just got back home after spending the last several days in New orleans and went through Biloxi to make a drop off. TV definitely gives the impression that those places were beat up by Katrina but seeing it first hand was almost a shock. Ivan destroyed a couple of thousand homes here in Pensacola but one whole part of Biloxi literally ceased to exist. New Orleans looks like the hurricane hit there a couple of days ago and not six months ago. That place will be years getting it back together. I think I'll give more considerable thought to sticking it out in a Cat III or higher again.
Good idea Mike. I agree the damage is unbeleivable in New Orleans, but was inevitable as all knew. It'll never be the same. Even after years of re-building. My heart goes out to all those affected. May it never happen again. It's nice to have you back Mike.
I won't be in town long Mojo. Heading out to Norfolk Saturday. I had my laptop in Nawlins but their server wouldn't let me keep a single for more than a couple of minutes.
Well, at least you got a few of days at home. Maybe you'll have better luck getting online this time out. It's always nice to hear from ya and read your posts. Be safe Mike.
