Hello everyone,

My name is Michelle, I just turned 38 and have just received news from my daughter that I will be a Grandma soon! Took the hard look in the mirror and didn't like what I saw. I'm 5'5 and a half and by body fat according to the scale is at 45% (Yuck)! My body is riddled with cellulite and I'm very ashamed. I want to change things and be proud of the image staring back at me, I just don't have aclue where to start.I would like to reduce my body fat to 20% ( if realistic) and see some definition. If anyone can help me, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you for reading my story and I hope to hear from you soon:):)

Hey Michelle, welcome to the site. Take some comfort in knowing your goals are very obtainable. Take your time and browse the site. Check out some of the threads in the specific diet and nutrition forum. Keep this in mind, as you'll soon read here, weight loss takes time, it truly can't be rushed and get done in a healthy manner. Stick with it and you'll do fine. You have a great support team here.

Hi Michelle

A great start, you know your goals and have personal pride to motivate you, and you have made a start by posting here, as mojo says, it takes time but weight lost slowly is more likely to stay off. If you don't exercise at the moment you can start by just getting your self out for a walk whenever you can, check out the site:)

Good Morning Mojo,

Thank you for the support and sound words of advice! I realize I didn't get this way overnight so it will take time to see changes. I did take some healthy steps this weekend, I bought my food for the week and will prepare my meals today. I also will be heading out to the gym later today and do some strength training. I will take some time to check out the forum for some help as well. Again thank you and have a wonderful day!
