Is this a stupid routine!

well ive never made a routine before but i put some stuff together and have no idea if its ok or terrible.... i based it on the exercises i usually do when i go to the gym. I would do this 4 days a week - monday, tuesday, thursday and friday... would it even take 45 minutes?


Chinups - 10 reps
Situps - 50 reps
Pushups - 20 reps
PullDown Machine - 12 reps x 3 sets
Dips - 8 Reps
Dumbell Curl - 12 reps x 3 sets

Couple minute break

Chinups - 8 reps
Situps - 35 reps
Pushups - 15 reps
PullDown Machine - 8 reps x 3 sets
Dips - 6 Reps
Dumbell Curl - 8 reps x 3 sets

Couple minute break

Chinups - 5 reps
Situps - 20 reps
Pushups - 10 reps
PullDown Machine - 8 reps x 3 sets
Dips - 4 Reps
Dumbell Curl - 8 reps x 3 sets

Use the "exercise program" tab at the top of the page and fill it in according to your resources and ability. Start there. Good luck and welcome to the site.

I know, im looking at the ones under fitness plan and still trying to figure it out. Ill probly end up using it but my questions is that is my routine bad or ok?

I'm not gonna criticize your routine beyond stating there is no lower body work. If you go to a gym, use one of the programs from here. Your 14 and just starting out. Click on the "exercise program" tab and let it design a routine for you. That's a good starting place.

Is this exercise tab your speaking of the "Fitness plan" tab?

oh and i dont need to really work out my lower body, my legs are strong enough and i mainly care about my upper body

"fine if you're preparing for the army....pretty crappy if you want results...."

worded poorly....fine for preparing for the army....poor choice if you want strength and muscle gains....

Yes, foostaple, it is "fitness plan". And yes, whether you beleive it or not, you need to work your lower body as well.
