hey everyone! I am trying to loose 30lbs. In the past 4 weeks, I have been going to the gym 5 days a week doing weights and cardio, and I take in about 1600 calories per day. I also take a protien supplement after workouts. The problem is that I ended up gaining 5lbs and am not noticing much results. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas on how to get faster results and start shedding the pounds rather than gaining??
What's your current weight? Does the 1600 calories include the Shake? You may have just been eating at your maintenance calories and carrying some water weight when you weighed yourself. Four weeks is about how long it takes to even start seeing any results. Depending on your weight, maybe reduce your calories a little?

It's not just the total calories, but what those calories consist of protein/fat/carbs. If you're doing intense workouts, it's definitely possible to put on a lb or two of muscle (which is heavier than fat). It's also possible you're eating too little which also has a big impact. Put more of your stats in your profile or in your post and one of the ladies will tell you where to fix things.
