Alright everyone,

I've been working out now for around a year and a half.
Recently I have been slacking and not getting that motivation to get in the gym.
I figured there must be people in the same position as me.
So thought I'd start a post to hear what motivates everyone and hopefully, but I'm sure it will, give everyone motivation !

I focus on my fitness goals. I think about what I want to look like and how I would not reach my goals if I make excuses not to go. I also go straight from work, I find it much more challenging to motivate myself to workout at home or leave to go to the gym once I'm at home. I guess it comes down to "How bad do you want it?" and "What's more important to you?" And of course *fat loss* and *muscle gain* are always GREAT motivators to keep you going back for more!!!!

I have a picture of myself (30lb havier) next to the mirror. I look at it before I'm going to bed, and then getting up at 5 am and run to the gym , just don't want the picture and my reflection to be look alike again.

I love going to the gym, the results are just a bonus, some little things that motivate me when i don't feel like going is i have a seperate section of music on my mp3 player that i only listen to when i'm at the gym which i like, so if i want to listen to that music that pumps me up i gotta go to the gym. Or having a gym partner helps, since you won't want to feel your letting the other person down by missing days.

The fact that I always know that somewhere, someone is training to beat me.

Because I notice the slight jiggles I get after not working out for two weeks, I really don't like them. As in I'll put in the time at the gym or whatever kind of excersize just to make sure I don't have them. Maybe I'm just really self concious but I always feel more relaxed in a social environment when I know I've been sticking to my excersize and nutrition! Even so if I can achieve a peace of mind and look pretty good well then what is there to lose right?
