Ive been doing the treadmill with HIIT every second day, but lately even less, and im seeing great results with it and HIIT!
I threw that scale in the closet and stopped worying about weight over 2 months ago, and im seeing results with my body like my metabolism has shot up! Now i plan to hit full speed before vacation in 2.5 weeks.
The program: The treadmills at my gym has an "interval" mode, you have a jogging speed and running speed. Mine are 5.2 jog and 6.6 run (id like to hear other's speed, im just an amateur probably), so I start the program right away but do 5 minute wormup, so at the beginning lower the speed to 2.9 then every 20 seconds up it by one until you reach 5 minutes. I vary depending on my mood.
At 5 minutes, hit the interval button and run 15-20 seconds at, then hit the button again and jog for the remaining of the minute. At minute 7 rebegin. If you get too tired after 10 mins, when u goto jog lower the speed in the high 4's if you need to.
At the end dont stop abruptly but rather have a warmdown and go from 5 to lower opposite of what we did at the beginning.
I hope this helps someone, i love it, short, exhausting, and results! Much better than that time wasted doing 50 mins of the same thing all the time.

i've been doing HIIT while puching my son in his stroller... so far i haven't seen results but i just started last week. We have been walking 3-4 miles a day.... what i do is one block at a good clip ... and then one at a faster pace. I was a little disappointed when i logged my stats in at fitday .... almost 4 miles and it said i only burned 270 cals... :(

Unfortunately, this is a fact. Should make you think about that sweet roll or candy bar the next time you grab one...500+ calories...think about how much you have to do to burn that off, maybe you won't eat it.
You will make progress with the HIIT, stay with it. Have a diet complimentary and you can't help but see results. Weight loss is all about a caloric deficit. energy in<energy out

i'd did HIIT for 3 Weeks a little bit back , everyNight, just for the hell of it. I would run 7.5 for 4 minutes 9.0 for 4 minutes, than 8.0 for 4 minutes. Anyhow i started at 5'09 170 ( im a guy in pretty fair shape) in that time i think i lost 5 pounds but there wasnt much to loss anyhow and i was actually getting a decent workout on my inner thighs. Im not sure why i did it , but i could clearly see that it is effective and i noticed a boost in my metabolism.

I lost almost 10 pounds and increased my muscle mass a lot with this 3min routine 3x a week ONLY. has anyone else worked out on it ? the makers website is www.hitrainer.com
