Min amt of Protein in PWO shake

Right now I am drinking 23g of protein along with 26g of dextrose and maltodextrin (13g each)for my PWO shake. I am 225 lbs and my primary focus is on weight loss. Is this enough or should I double the amts to 46 g protein and 52 g dex/malt? Thanks

IMO, I would double it all. At your weight you should be looking at somewhere around 56g Protein and 56g malto/dex(28g/28g). Be sure to earn it.

I would look to other parts of your diet to change first. I prefer folks to get their calorie deficits from the rest of their diet, leave their pwo recovery intact until the very end.(this being getting to single digit bodyfats if desired, i.e..competition levels).

That being said, I believe at your bw your protein in your pwo shake is too low. I would up that, if necessary cut something out from your diet to offset those calories.

I try to avg approx 2200 cal/day with a good mix of p/c/f (approx 45/30/25) I just did not know if my PWO shake was enough. Thanks for the advice. I will up the PWO to approx 50g protein/25g dextrose/25g maltodextrine.
