Is there a limit to how much sodium you should have everyday? I eat healthy but I tend to use a lot of salt does that effect your weightloss?

Sodium makes the body retain water, which causes bloat and water weight gain, specially during your period..I would try and cut back on the salt, increase your water intake.

Don't consume over 3000mg (3 grams) of sodium a day. Potassium also helps to counteract some of the negative properties of sodium. Salt is necessary, but too much can be dangerous to your health.

as the previous 2 posts have said, salt retains water..try to avoid shelter foods, for example soups..other than that, adding salt and pepper to your meals wont do that much damage..if u make a conscious effort to limit your salt, you will be fine..
