I have low iron to begin with,but during my period I have basically NO energy to work out,especially the first couple of days...My sets are weak..I do em,but it takes longer....ANy of you experience a real drop in energy during the cycle?

My problems are typically the week prior. If your iron is low, maybe before your cycle begins you could up your intake. Low iron will certainly result in low energy. My biggest issues these days, being perimenopausal, are the hormonal swings...I never know what my cycle will bring from month to month. I have found that since balancing out my diet with increased protein and just healthier food choices, things have leveled out somewhat.

I get cranky, craby and crampy:( (fun, fun and some more fun, poor hubby:big_smile: ) My energy level seems to stay the same. During that week I have to work really hard on not letting any silly excuses stop me from working out. It's more a mood problem for me.
