After monitoring my diet for a while, I have come to the conclusion that I am not getting enough protein. My understanding is to use something like ON's Whey Protein w/ Dex. & Maltodex. as a PWO shake because it is absorbed quickly into the muscles. What about on off days? Should you use Casien (sp?) protein since it is absorbed slower or is Whey still OK? Do you want it to be absorbed slower on your off days? Thanks for any clarification.

My suggestion would be to get the proteins on your off day strictly thru foods. Chicken , lean beef, fish, etc. I use the exact PWO drink that you mentioned but do not use any protein supplement on my off days. I just eat

Having casein throughout the day is a great idea. You want a continuous stream of protein available, and this is a great way to do it. Casein "gels" in the stomach on digestion, thus insuring a slow release of amino acids into the bloodstream. Base your diet in food of course...adding casein can be done in many ways....cottage cheese, milk, etc. Milk protein isolate is a great addition.

Thanks for the all the info. I have to admit that it has been difficult to get my diet in-line. The protein has been my problem area. I have figured that I was short between 25-50g's depending on the day.
