Okay, normally I never eat any candy, cookies or whatever because I never liked them. I never used to like sweet things, but recently since I have started to workout and "watch what I eat" I have had a few terrible sugar cravings. What is going on with me? I don't even like the stuff!
Oh and I have tried to do the nutrition thing on here, but I am having a really hard time figuring it out. I just write everything down now.

The nutrition tracker doesn't have all the foods on there, you just have to find the food that best goes with what you have eaten. About the sugar cravings, I am not sure why you have them, but you caould try sugar free candy or protein bars for the chocolate. When I want something sweet and son't what the extra fat associated with candy, I make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Hope this helps and gets you back on track.

Peanut butter has high fat content(not that it is a bad thing mind you), Jelly is just as bad as candy If I remember correctly, with a very high sugar content. The bread is bad thing too, high in sugar, even Whole grain (not whole wheat) breads have high sugar. Maybe not as bad as a bag of skittles or something, but better to get some fruit for a sweet tooth. Strawberries work great, and you can't eat too many because you get that bloated feeling after 10-15 of em..lol.

If you used the diabetic jam ... or the 100% fruit stuff, it has less sugar. I'd just use it sparingly. I think there's a post on this (something about eating sugar causes cravings)?

Alpha lipoic acid, and 5-HTP (hydroxy tryptophan) as food supplements have both been shown to reduce sugar cravings, both are available over the counter in capsule form.
A quick search on the net will find a lot more info about both, try t-mag.com, they ghave a lot of info about supplements.
