I'm 15 and 190 lbs. I only could bench 140 at most. I started a year and a half ago benching 90 and weighting the same. Is weighing 190lbs and benching normal for a beginner. How can i match my bench weight with my body weight

You have three options...

1. You can increase your bench 50 lbs.
2. You can lose 50 lbs.
3. Any combination of the 1 and 2.

Iron and chalk.

One of my best friends is full Japanese, weights 144 pounds, 17 years old, and benches 270 (i.e the same as me). That son of a bitch.

I got a god reply about this from a member as I had the same question.

he said that if you can bench as much as your body weight
then you are a more than average strong guy.
eg if you are 60 kgs and bench 60kg then your strength is over an average guy.
