Hi
I'm getting quite frustrated. I have been running tons lately in preparation for a marathon in october but the scale isn't reflecting it. I've actually gone up a couple pounds. I'm not eating bad maybe a couple pieces of chocolate here and there. I'm also playing soccer twice a week and walking 4 miles 3 times a week. All this effort and no reward. Am I maybe doing too much?

Any advice?

Thanks

My height is 5 foot 2 inches, weight 115. This is our second week training and my ultimate goal is 110 pounds.

I think you need to stop worrying about those last 5lbs. Your height and wt seem in the right proportion. If you're looking to "tone" up your body, you might want to introduce some resistance training. This won't likely change the scale wt, but will tighten your body. Have you ever had your body fat measured? If you want to see the scale move to 110, you're going to have to be very strict with your diet, but personally, I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, I wouldn't be cutting too much when you're doing so much cardio. Good luck with your marathon...I've done a couple of half marathons and found them very rewarding upon completion!
