I want to lose weight in my chest and stomach but i also want muscle i got this routine of 1 of my mates its
Monday: Weights - Chest and Back
Tuesday: Cardio
Wednesday: Weights - Arms and Shoulders
Thursday: Cardio
Friday: Weights - Legs
Saturday: Cardio
Sunday: day off

it sounds reali good but the more I read online people say once a week for each bodypart aint enough, ive heard chest and back - monday/thursday, arms and shoulders tuesday/friday and legs on wednesday and saturday so your hiting each group twice a week. Ive also heard full body weight circuits mon - wed - fri. Im on my secound week of the routine at the top (one bodypart once a week) routine and when i work out my chest and back doin 3-4sets of 8-10reps my chest and back are stil sore on thursday, so once a week seems fine, so will this routine be o.k?
Also i bought some supplements Maximuscle Promax and Cyclone. cyclone is an all in one, creatine and that and promax is just a high protein shake which helps with muscle growth and recovery, so i thought id drink cyclone for my mid'morning snack then after my workout then promax before my workout then before i go to bed am i doing right. coz im so nuts over my weight i dont go anywhere dyin 2 lose weight please help. :)

Hi there, I work out every muscle group on M, W, and F, then on Tues, Thurs and Sat I do my cardio. I think that maybe it would work for you. I also do my regular housework, which I think is a workout in itself!! But I think that if you worked out arms, legs and the rest every other day, you may see results. But realize that it all takes time, and that you can't spot reduce. You reduce all over, which is what I am learning:)

thnx babe i know about spot reducing so would you say the chest and back monday arms and shoulders wednesday thing would work

It should, but I am also new at all this workout stuff, so maybe a more experienced member could answer your question. And for the record, no one has called me babe in a while:laugh:

sori didnt read ur message properly so you reckon full body workout mon wed and fri? the only thing i find difficult with that is that when i tried that before i found some areas where stronger than others so it was conplicated to do circuits whats your workout do you move from 1 exercise to another without rest or do you work your shoulders 3sets or wotever then move to next bodypart?

Hi there, I don't mind being called babe, just hasn't happened in a while. I would do full body workout on mon, wed, and fri, then cardio on tues, thurs, and sat, then rest on sunday. Don't forget about your diet as well. That is an important factor to losing weight as well.:big_smile:

what do you do in your workout then? do you do 1set of each exercise of difrent body parts like circuits or do you work 1 muscle group then move to next? are your muscles showing?

well, did you fill out your fitness profile? That gives you your exercises to do and when. I do 7 exercises for regular workout, plus I have 3 that I do for my abs. If you fill out your profiles then it will tell you what to do and when, except for the cardio. It shows you when to do body workout, then have rest days in between, but doesn't tell you to do cardio, you just do it on all the rest days except sunday. But, fill out your profile. It will really help a lot

Look at the top of the screen and fill out the fitness plan. It will give you your workouts.

thanks, mojo. You set up your profile at the top of this screen where it says fitness plan, and nutrition plan, it will let you do your stuff there, plus if you click on the home link, it will let you do your profile there
