I am 140 lbs and am not trying to become a bulky weightlifter. I just want to get to 150lbs. and make my body look good. 3 years ago I had achieved 160lbs but I was eating egg sandwiches and fast food primarily and myoplex, creatine. I was taking in 5000 calories a day It was very expensive and once I stopped taking the supplements some weight vanished and after I stopped eating fast food and went back to a healthier diet I am back to 140 lbs. I have no problem getting to the gym. I eat tuna, steak, chicken and vegetables. So is there any eating tips and are weight gainers necessary if so are there any homemade ones. What is the best think to eat or drink right when you are done working out.

To gain you need to eat above maintenance. Food is your best weight gainer. About 1-2 hours after your workout have a good source of protein and a complex carb. If your gaining, try a 2-1 ratio of carbs to protein. Other than that, you need a good pre workout meal as well with a slow burning carb and good protein source.

Let me clarify, after workout MEAL should be 1-2 hours after, consisting of a complex carb and good protein source...ratio of 2-1.
