Hello all. I'm a 40 year mother of four young boys, and I'm trying to find an exercise that I can do to tone & trim my midsection/tummy.
I eat well (usually), and I walk/run at least 3 times a week, however, since having a baby at 37 and hitting the 40 year mark earlier this year, I'm having a much more difficult time keeping the midsection toned.
I guess I should add that I'm 5'8" and weigh 150-152lbs. I'm not really looking to lose weight (though 5 lbs wouldn't be too bad :)), but I definitely want to tone.
Hey, welcome to ft! The answer to your question is start working out with freeweights. Whether it be at home or a gym. Do a routine consisting of squats, deadlifts, military presses, bench press, pull ups, and dips. That is what will tone and firm you up. Losing that extra five pounds will come down to your diet mainly. Good luck!
