im 14 is protein bad for me to take and is it considered a supplement because ive told everyone i wont take any supplements because i wanna do it the hard way so can u help?

Whey protein IS a supplement, one of the more acceptable ones though. You can surely do without it if you get your daily needs from whole food. Taking whey protein isn't like taking steroids, you'll still be doing things the hard way, it simply makes it easier to meet your daily protein needs. And more important, is quite effective PWO.
