Hey,

According to FT, I need to be taking in appx. 280g of protein per day. I did a quick number crunch and realized with food and protein shakes, I am only taking in 140.

I would go strictly protein shake but I realize there are benefits to eating foods. I am taking vitamins as well. To make up the other half can I just drink protein shakes? I mix it just with cold water, and I really love the taste. I mainly just don't want to have to hassle with fixing a wide assortment of protein rich foods.

I find the FT protein a little on the high side. I try and get a gram to a gram and a half per lb of body weight. Most of us that take protein as a supplement do so for the same reason you mention.

Looks like a back injury. Since your maintenance calory requirements are down due to having to be sedentary, there's not much you can do other than cut down on your food intake.
