How Many Reps Should I Do?

So, I just upgraded to FT Pro and think it will serve me well, but I have one question. As a standard (free) member, the workout from freetrainers.com had be doing very high numbers of reps. For example, on a particular weight exercise, I would do 4 sets (20, 16, 14, 10, reps -- or something like that). Now, the workout plan after my upgrade to pro has me doing 4 sets at 12, 12, 10 and 10 reps. Why the difference? Which is better for me? My goal is to lose weight fat and add lean muscle. Thanks!

I don't propose to know everything, but i found that whilst the Free routine was fine, that 3 sets in a pyramid structure is more effective for me i.e. less reps heavier weight. This followed with lots of cv is currently working fine for me.

The 4 sets scheme is what i had also, i think it depends on how u rate urself; intermediate etc and the actual programme u use. My assumption is that with the Free scheme u will build strength through more sets at lower weights in the opening weeks, and then overtime have enough strength to add add bulk in the latter weeks of the programme.
