I am so confused by all the protein powders out there. I have tried Nitro Tech, but from what I see on this site, it rarely gets good reviews for the buck. What is a good whey supplement? Optinum Nutrition, Nitro Tech, Musclemilk-Please advise-bb1fit, as well as anyone else who has an opinion on the matter.

Nitro tech is bs.
It depends on your goal and on the time you're taking it (pre-workout, post-workout, before bed, ...?)
I d'say protein (whey) is protein (whey)... The less expensive will be all right

Whey is rated as number one for protein but a body builder friend of mine and another fitness buff SWEARS by Muscle Milk protien powder. I have been using it for the past year and am happy with it. And it tastes great too. Do a search on it here and see what you think.

What are you going to use the protein for? During the day, or post workout only.

Probably for during the day and post workout. I have a decent build, but I am trying to get rid of my gut. I thought I could use the protein for breakfast, since I never have time to eat right in the morning.
When is it best to use protein?
