WHAT A #_)$(#$ morning..They (testing center) WOULDNT let me do the test because they say I booked for a G2(from beginners to intermediate) road test and not a G2 Exit(final test) They said I had made a mistake when I booked online when I had the confirmation RIGHT IN MY HAND,SAYING that I had booked correctly..but they wouldnt change it on the computer

They said "sorry but we dont do G2 Exits on Wed you will have to rebook and by the way,you lost half the $40 fee you paid when you booked and will have to pay an ADDITIONAL $75 fee to do your G2 Exit road test

OH MY #$(*$*(#$ God I thought I would LOOSE IT! And here the lady next to me has been driving with an INVALID license for 3 years but they were SO accomadating to her..in fact they gave her back her INVALID license, told her she could rewrite the beginners test and let her DRIVE AWAY

I had to rebook for Aug 24 GIMME A BREAK:angry:

That's ridiculous mystic. What a bunch of a-holes!! I'd call the ministry and tell them what happened, especially if you have proof that you booked correctly in the first place!

Good luck with your license when you do get it. I got mine the second I turned 16, oh so many years ago! One written test to get my 365 and I was diriving that day! Got my official licence 4 weeks later....oh how times have changed!

That just goes to proof: "stupid people, ....they're everywhere!" and I don't mean you Mystic. Sorry to hear about your trouble. Fly is right, I would call somebody and make sure you're not losing any money for their mistake. Good Luck!

hey mystic, I used to live just outside of ottawa, now i live in ottawa...I found when i went for my licence, the people were jerks as well. I never ran into any problems like that, however they were very rude. I would be so mad if that happened to me! You should definately complain!

Slorbets-Ever since that drive center went private I find that there are more screwups and ya they are very rude...Iam just gonna drive Walkley and Hawthorne up and down till I can do it with my eyes closed..

The test consists of driving down walkley, then making a right on to Hawthorne..doing a lane change etc so its not a big deal..I just wanted to get it over with!

I used to live off Hawthorne and havent been back in over 4 years,I couldnt believe how much it has built up!

I used to live in Ottawa many years ago, in Nepean actually-back in the late 70's. When i left, kanata was just a sleepy little town. I went back for a visit a few years later and boom, kanata was a city. It was almost sureal!

I grew up in the country, and I got my licence in the country and it was super easy! There was no lane chaging or anything like that. The test took about 10 minutes. I didnt even have to do a parallel park between any cars. The people were still rude though. Now that I live in Ottawa, I find it hard to get used to the driving here, so much more traffic, and many people seem to like to drive through red lights here.
I suggest if you want to ace a drivers test do it in a rural area! For mystic and all the people local to the ottawa area, I did mine in Refrew, and I had no problems!

Good luck with the drivers test!

yeah, i would assume that going out of town would make things much easier! Less traffic, and less craziness to worry about! Good luck, let me know how it goes!

All I can say is thank goodness I did my beginners on my 16th birthday (waaaay back in 88) and 2 months later just before Christmas I had my licence... the whole graduated stuff is pathetic....
