I am trying to bulk up and get stronger, but I really enjoy running and dont wish to stop! I am 6 foot 165 lbs and I am currently doing the 12 week Mass Gain program that is on this site. Is running gonna keep me from getting bigger/stronger or is it ok to run? I run only about 2-3 miles a day...

Can we make it so anyone that enters this forum has to agree to a certain set of rules before being allowed to post? Like something with the software?

Try sprinting to add weight. Drop the cardio.

Hay-Stack take it easy he meant no harm, just that this forum is more suited to those wanting to power lift or do strong man training etc, not usualy questions about running. It is all good. You should, however care where you post questions as they might be answered quicker. Good Luck!

Also, he was asking a significant question. He's trying to get stronger and he didn't want to hinder his results in that area. Valid question if you ask me.

Valid question, yes, but so is mine. A lot of boards have an FAQ section that has to be read before posting. While this question is more valid than others, I think it would be something to look into. Especially since non of the top 8 posts in this forum are forum related.
It wasn't to say it was in the wrong area, just that it is a frequently asked question that could easily be handled.

I have heard that working chest and tricep on the same day leads to size reduction of the arms. Is it true.

I had no time to finish my post by the way. While I felt this post was valid, I am also getting frustrated with the large amount of off topic questions and agree with wrestler. Can nothing really be done?

I like what grippermania.com did...they have a locked forum which u need a password to enter......because they discuss 'sensitive' topics in it....religion, politics, etc....which maybe offensive to some people.....so people have to email site administrator and tell them they are OK with the material being discussed....

this same strategy can be employed for another reason.....for example a person MUST read a FAQ and agree to post only questions appropriate to the forum before they can get a password....to enter the forum.....

Agree completely with wrestler....

Sprint 3 times per week with a rest day between each day. SO you might sprint M-W-F
This is a beginner 3 week plan.
Day 1: 200s x 3 35-37 sec goal time 3minutes of rest
Week 2 do 4 week 3 do 5
Try to drop your goal times a second or 2 each week.

Day 2: 100's x 5 16-18 sec goal time 1 min rest
Week 2 do 7 week 3 do 10

Day 3: 15 second sprint/45 second walk
Week 1 work for 10 min
Week 2 work for 12 min
Week 3 work for 15 min

Don't do anything other than lift weights. This is a 3 week running plan for strength and power. Make sure your leg workouts are done in the morning on M and Thursday between 7-10 am. Run in the late afternoon early evening between 4-7 pm. Post us a note in 3 weeks to let us know how it went. Also, ask questions if you do not understand what is here.

Hay Stack stay encouraged, be focused on your goals and don't let these cute bullys on here scare you away, just try to follow the guidelines of the forum, and if ever in doubt about posting at all, you can send anyone of us an instant message and we can reply to that as well. :)

Take care and I look forward to reading on your progress in a few weeks. :)

Man you are welcome on this board, you just posted what could have been mistaken as "off topic" at a time right after someone had posted like 3 questions in a row about bodybuilding and just couldn't get it. If the focus is strength, you will get all the help you could ever need from us.
